Add Safety Screen to Home Screen

Follow these simple steps to add a one-tap icon to your loved one's phone.

Note: This is just an example. After you sign up and add a senior, you'll get their actual unique link from your dashboard. Click the orange "Setup Instructions" button on any senior card to see their specific link.
Why This Matters: Once set up, they can tap ONE icon on their home screen and instantly see their safety screen - no typing, no browser, no confusion!

iPhone Setup (Safari Browser Only)

1
Open Safari Browser
Find and tap the Safari app on their iPhone (blue icon with a white compass). Important: This will NOT work in Chrome or other browsers - it must be Safari.
2
Visit the Link
After signing up, go to your dashboard and click the orange "Setup Instructions" button on your senior's card. That page will have their unique link with a "Copy Link" button. Copy that link, then paste it into Safari's address bar and tap "Go". You'll see the green checkmark screen.
3
Find the Share Button
Look at the bottom center of Safari (on newer iPhones) or top right (on older iPhones). Tap the Share icon - it looks like a square with an arrow pointing UP out of it.
4
Scroll Down and Find "Add to Home Screen"
A menu will pop up from the bottom. Scroll down through the options until you see "Add to Home Screen" (it has a plus sign icon next to it). Tap it.
5
Name the Icon
You'll see a preview of the icon. At the top, there's a text field with a name. Change it to something simple like "Phone Safe", "Safety Check", or just "Safe". Then tap the blue "Add" button in the top right corner.
Done! Look at their home screen - a new green icon with a checkmark just appeared! They can tap it anytime to instantly see their safety screen. No typing needed!
Troubleshooting: If you don't see the Share button, make sure you're using Safari (not Chrome). If you don't see "Add to Home Screen" in the menu, scroll down - it's usually in the second section of options.

Android Setup (Chrome)

1
Open Chrome and Visit the Link
On their Android phone, open Google Chrome. Paste or type the link above into the address bar.
2
Tap the Menu Button
Tap the three dots menu in the top right corner of Chrome.
3
Tap "Add to Home screen"
Select "Add to Home screen" from the menu. Some Android phones might show "Install app" instead - either works!
4
Name It & Add
Give it a simple name like "Phone Safe" or "Safety Check", then tap "Add".
Done! An icon will appear on their home screen. They can now tap it anytime to see their safety screen!
Pro Tip: After setting this up, move the icon to their main home screen next to commonly used apps like Phone, Messages, or Photos. Make it easy to find!
